Programme
98 Días Choreography by Javier de Frutos
Olivier Award-winning choreographer Javier de Frutos’ 98 Días takes us back to Cuba in 1930. Spanish playwright Federico García Lorca was so enchanted by the island that a short visit turned into 98 days, a period he described as among the happiest of his life. This vibrant work captures what it feels like to fall in love with a place far from home.
The One Who Opens the Way Choreographed by Luis Mariano Napoles & Luanda Pau
An exploration of movement, culture, and spirituality through the fusion of Afro-Cuban folklore and contemporary dance, celebrating the richness of Cuban heritage and the powerful connection between tradition and contemporary expression.
Carlos Acosta’s Nutcracker in Havana (Excerpts) Created by Carlos Acosta
Experience enchanting excerpts from Carlos Acosta’s vibrant reimagining of the beloved holiday classic. Blending the magic of The Nutcracker with the colour, rhythm, and spirit of Cuba, this joyful production offers a fresh celebration of one of ballet’s most cherished stories.
